Once again I find myself in a situation where I just have to speak up .On April 10th the motorcycling community lost Rosie Tipton whom lost her life in a horrific motorcycle accident. Now because of the media stating that she died while not wearing a helmet, blogs are popping up on websites ,from individuals that did not know the beautiful enchanting soul Rosie was .One stated suicide by tractor ,another stated that in her hospital people like her are referred to as “organ donors”. Well this is what I have to say about those: For one I have known Rosie for 15 years and in all this time she fought for the rights of others (unselfishly) ,she never turned down a friend in need. Her friends were considered her family. No matter what ill wills were going on in her life she stayed true to her convictions and to her family/friends That she died doing what she loved and that a helmet was a muted point. It was here legal choice .Statistically how could she have survived and to what quality of life would she have had, if she were to have survived. Rosie was so full of life and that projected onto others. To quote her famously “Pick me,Pick me” was her motto. So for some insensitive idiot to say suicide in any way shape or form did not know Rosie. For some unprofessional twit to say organ donors of the helmetless bikers- may someday benefit from our choices. Wonder if she will blog a thank you to that deceased bikers family. I think not. What I am trying to get at is Rosie was loved by many and had these folks taken the time to get to know who she was in life, they might not be so quick to be judgmental in her death. Rosie was someone’s mother, sister, aunt and friend who lived life. Can they say the same? I think not.
